Video/Scan is a realtime, single-frame video input and output device.Video/Scan converts high-resolution video from SPARC-based workstationsto standard television formats (RS-170A, RGB, NTSC, S-Video, or CCIR RGB,PAL, S-Video) in realtime. Converted graphics can be edited, recorded,and projected using a wide variety of standard video equipment. With theframe-grab feature, users can capture an RS-170A RGB or CCIR RGB videoimage from a camera or videodisk for creating texture maps or combiningcomputer graphics with video. By using the SCSI interface, users can alsodigitally transfer video frames.
